Israel is omitted from HarperCollins atlas because including country would be 'unacceptable' to cust

HarperCollins the bookpublisher was quickly on the backfoot after the Mail Online revealed that its new Atlas aimed at schools in the middle east had omitted mention of Israel. Gaza and Jordan are included on the map, but Israel is not labelled.

'This product has now been removed from sale in all territories and all remaining stock will be pulped. HarperCollins sincerely apologises for this omission and for any offence caused.'

But there have been calls to boycott HarperCollins' publications. You can read more here.
